I thought marmite on tofu would be like soy sauce. Not too far off.

    I’ve put Vegemite on rice before because I was out of soy sauce. Wasn’t half bad.

    Marmite is basically pure umami, much like soy sauce so this really doesn’t surprise me.

    Marmite is a weird ingredient, but if im making a mushroom soup or a stroganoff, a teaspoon or two makes it so much richer and more savoury!

    Marmite adds a lovely depth to savoury dishes, but a little goes a long way.
